After Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula is also facing danger due to excess movement of pedestrians and two-wheeler. The movement of two-wheeler has stopped after the supporting wire of this iconic bridge broke on Saturday. Although it is an iconic bridge but it will be closed for two-wheeler as the season of Kanwar Yatra is bringing a lot of mass and crowd.

Ram Jhula: An Iconic Tourist destination

Ramjhula is iconic place of Rishikesh.which is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges, in India's northern state i.e. Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the Shivananda nagar area of Muni ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri district. It was built in the year 1986.

Reason Behind the Ban:-

Ram jhula Bridge is banned for two wheeler movement after two supporting wires broke on Saturday.
Only few pedestrians are allowed for sometimes.
Its another bad news for tourists and Rishikesh tourism after the closure of Laxman Jhula.because these two iconic places are famous among tourist and many people use these bridges for travelling across River Ganga.
CO Of Kotdwar Mr. J R Joshi, said "Movement of Two wheeler have been stopped On Ram Jhula after two supporting wires of the bridge broke.''
According to Joshi Ji "there have been increased footfall on Ram Jhula After the closure of Iconic Bridge Laxman Jhula.
According to the officals "The repair procees in underway" further adding that "the bridge is safe according to the engineers."
